The Street which is at SS15 facing Taylors/INTI College is not your typical Korean food joint as they don't serve the many small plates of korean snacks etc but they have more fast food type of servings, but it taste great nonetheless! The one and only Rachel and I went there last week for a taste of the place!

The many nice post-it on the walls where every customer can paste notes of encouragement/random words on the wall.

A superb but saltish Miso soup..I thought that is Japanese soup...hmm...

It has two floors which I didn't know until the waited offered to us to sit upstairs which we happily obliged. Upstairs has better seating as you can sit on the floor and it in REAL ASIAN style!!

After eating, of course we took some pics and Rachel took time to admire the many colorful post-it paper on the wall.

So I'm home from my 4 days and 4 nights part time work in Genting, the most commercialize highland in Malaysia.

Thanks to Rachel =), we got this job oppurtunity over there from Monday to Wednesday to help in the Genting 1st Employees Carnival Celebration. The company I'm working for are the ones handling the games and entertainment for the event.

I never bring my camera up there, so sorry no pics =S But we brought Rachel's digicam, so all the pics are inside there, will edit and upload soon!

It is a special business trip by Joseph and Mary aka Fishball aka Elaine Siah. Only both of us are going to this event,the others cannot make it. Departing on Sunday evening at 4pm bus from KL Sentral to Genting, we nearly nearly SUPER nearly miss the bus. If we were later just by 5 seconds, the bus dunno go where already, luckily I ran to the bus door and knock it loudly many times!!

Once we reach skyway, we went all the way up and met up with Charleen, carrying Elaine's super heavy bag is really...a great start to the journey? XD Then we start work right away!
There were 3 bosses, and a number of workers! But I'm the only sesat chinese dude there haha! The rest were indian guys but they were all very friendly, I made a lot of new friends there. There were also girls, 3 chinese girls and 1 mixed! They were Rachel's friends except one and they are a nice bunch!

We stayed at Ria Apartments and I was assigned to the Dart game booth on Monday, our work time from 10am-10pm, Tuesday is 10am-5pm and Wednesday 8.30am-8pm. Entering my apartment with the new guys, I talked to some of them till 2.30am then I set the alarm at 6.30am, and get ready for the long day ahead!

You know what's the hardest part when you work in the game booth? It is standing up without sitting and you can feel the FEEL on your ankles! Even we have a chair after that, it was no use =S At the end of the day, still quite pain~ Throughout the day, I had many funny, weird customers but comparing to Elaine's booth, I had a few customers because my stall is situated across the hall, so lesser people go there.

Meeting with customers of all ages and races while running the booth DOES certainly gives you a good experiences, you'll see some fussy customers, some funny ones, some keep coming back for more until it drives you mad (Elaine had a good experience with that...).

BUT actually the best part of everything is when we get the chance to see the performances invited by the management especially Dazzle, a combination of magic, illusion, dance and shadow hand performance, that was good. That makes the standing up for 12 hours with weird customers ALL worth it =D

Then we brought our own 'drinks', if you know what I mean. Some Absolut Peach and VSOP Platinum on the go at the cold windy Genting night certainly feels great, a new experience. And hands down this was the coldest Genting experience ever. The wind was sooo strong, if not for the alcohol and the hard work carrying all the heavy items, I'll be having brain and body freeze 24/7!

On the third and final day, after work ended at 8pm, we watch yet another singing performance and it ended at 10pm. Then we started packing up the tents and items till 1.30am, then we depart down to Kelana Jaya. With a total of nearly 12 hours of sleep in the 3 nights stay there, I sleep instantly in the car until we reach the office at 3am. Over there we unpack some more, carry all the heavy stuff. By then my strength was like...tofu. Finish everyting it was 4am, we went mamak, left at 4.40, then by 5.20am I was at Elaine's house.

I talked to her awhile, the next thing I knew I was asleep on her sofa till 8.30am!! And soon after that I was home, dad brought me home. And I just had one of the most tiring yet exciting Genting 'Vacation' ever!

Well, last week was Ya-Pei's farewell as she will be studying in NTU in Singapore, I hope she will do well and adjust herself well there!! Will pray for you often XD

And so, after class we had 1.5 hours of break and my friend wanted to repark his double parked car, so we went on a drive and up in SS2. We go round and round and we dunno where to eat, so i suggested Wong Kok and there is where we went!

I never been there since late last year although there are many many branches around me, and 3 of us went there wearing all formal with tie etc cause it was after our graduating phototaking!!

Something like Kim Gary as everyone knows, with a lot Hong Kong food of Cheese Baked Rice, oversize drinks, very very comfortable chairs and wifi.

And there were many sets available. Under the menu there were like 4-5 sheets of paper of different menu set and prices and flavour. I pick one after another, like the other set is better then the other one.

In the end I was spoilt of choice..I just open the regular menu and see what they got. Liew and Raymond going there more often, they quickly ordered and tick their order in the papers. And I just follow what they ordered haha!

Only RM11.80++, inclusive of a soup, a large large drink, dessert and main course!! I ordered honey pork chopped with rice or something like that..

The location is at SS2 just behind SS2 Murni. And the flavor is quite not bad! For RM11.80++, is soo darned worth it. I had to help Raymond finish his portion of food, not to say my set was had a smaller serving size, it was ALL big!

Wedding and Cousins!

And yet another cousin's wedding, but this was the most special one in all weddings I attended.
I met with cousin's I never thought existed!!!

The wedding was last week Saturday in Melaka (Same day as bon odori..ishhhh =( , miss it for the first time in many years!!), and it was like no other wedding!

Bride Juin Yi and Groom Shaun at their official room. The amount of relatives they have is incredible!! About 40-50 person cramp into the corner lot to witness the morning wedding event!!

Cousins Victor, Normal, Sylvia, Gerry, Vincent and Steph from Canada and Australia. I'm the odd one out since I'm bred locally here in Malaysia...

First time meeting up with them but it was all fun already! Plenty of talking, laughing and all nonsense! Doubt I'll see them in years to come since most of them return back already sigh...

A typical Chinese wedding with Tea Serving ceremony and angpau giving (I'll receive it of course XD). The bride is from Muar, Johor. So as early as 6.30am, Shaun had to drive all the way to Muar to pick the bride, receive the in-law's consent, and drive all the way back to Melaka. Love takes you everywhere!!

Cosplay.

This is my first time going to a Cosplay event, and I surely felt weird asking for people to pose for my camera, so pardon the many many weird shots!

I first heard about it from Su Ann, my long time friend on this event as she herself will cosplay on that day. Since I'm free that day, so I just give it a go!

Maito Gai!

It was a 2 day event, held at Sunway College but I went on the first day, on a Saturday morning. After picking up Su Ann and her friend Syara, I drove straight to Sunway College and got a parking there.

Upon entering the building, I already saw a few people with nice wigs and colourful clothings. Well, at least I went to the right destination =D Then Su Ann told me the event is at Level 3(I think...), we headed to the lift and go right up.

Merchandise on sale!!

There were plenty and really a lot a lot of stares from students at the Lobby on the way up. I guess there never seen this before? Or they haven't seen such pretty ladies before HAHA!

At Level 3, there was a queue already with Cosplayers outnumbered guests such as myself. Sadly I have no costume or character to emulate! Maybe I should try be Doraemon next time..hmm..

It is RM5 entry for Cosplayers and RM8 for guests. It was a 2 day event, and the payment is just for a day's visit but oh well, I'm not going the following morning anyway. Entering the huge hall, there were many stalls by the side, an animation studio in the middle, online games previews and performances on the main stage.

It was from 11am to 6pm if I'm not mistaken and the event of the day was Karaoke Competition and some movie showcase such as Howl's Moving Castle(My personal fave..the bomb anime!!), Spirited Away, Doraemon the Movie and many others.

I register for some online game which I forgot the name, doubt I'll ever play it since I didn't even receive the installation CD =S I went around taking pictures and hoping to buy some merchandise etc. And I tell you..the things there are not that cheap... There were DVD's on sale, postcards, bags, food etc!

Su Ann bought some Yaoi anime. And there were many photographers taking pictures of Su Ann and Syara! Become famous in just a few minutes haha! Asked them to joined the Karaoke competition but oh well..they are too 'talented' for this kind of things =D

Just a Meal..an expensive one..

A few weeks back, Liew and I was walking inside 1 Utama and then we saw this. Looking at the advertisement makes our mouth go saliva full force and we decide on the spot, next week we save our money and eat at TGIF!

And that's how we ended up at Seksyen 14 TGIF outlet on a Thursday afternoon during out 2 hour break. Initially Liew and I wanted to eat there, but then Ying Yi and Choi Yok joined us as well. Smart decision ladies XD

Appetizers: Mac & Cheese, Boneless Chicken, Clam Chowder.

It has been awhile since I ate there, but the same set are still available, they didn't change the 2-course-meal set yet, but it is still good =)

So at 12pm, 4 of us walk to the restaurant. YUP, we walked there in the noon. Of course there were complains from the ladies but they came anyway haha!

15 minutes later, we reached the restaurant and upon seated, we made our order, and waited for the delicacies to come!

Ying Yi and Choi Yok's entree. They both share the meal as the portion was huge!!

Upon eating the appetizer, it felt like we were eating the main course already! It was soooo full and serving was big!!

Liew is very very full...

But that does not stop us from eating some dessert =D

With RM6, you'll get two mini desserts, you can choose from 5 types of dessert.

The dessert is just average though, I don't think it is worth my money. I rather eat RM1 ice cream from McD!!

After eating and talking there for nearly 2 hours, we realize it is time for our next class!! Thankfully we reached back in time. However..we were so full, I doubt we can concentrate in class? Feeling sleepy most of the time after that haha!!

A random BBQ!

*it is quite late already, but I still post it, being busy with stuffs lately...*

It all started in a MSN conversation with Matt and Charissa and Matt mentioned about a BBQ dinner, just before school reopen, and from a random conversation, it became a plan and soon it was on!

The dinner was on friday, so on thursday, Matt, Charissa. Angel and I went get some raw food, equipments etc, then on friday we get the wires to BBQ and set up the BBQ at Charissa's house.

Quite a number of people went, about 15-16 people? More then expected but more the merrier?

Things were looking VERY VERY cloudy, and Charissa and her BIG BIG mouth keep saying "It's going to rain!!! >.<" or "See LAH, everytime sure something will spoil plans". But luckily, it didn't rain!

The Youths are very capable, from getting the raw food to marinating it to defroze and clean it and setting up the BBQ, cooking and last but not least, cleaning the whole place after that!

Probably we can set up a BBQ catering and cleaning company?

We had FISHBALL, crab ball, sotong ball, sausage, very very tough mutton and chicken wings on our menu that night. The mutton were good substitutes for chewing gum, they were sooo chewy and if you are wearing dentures, for sure it will rip ur dentures off...

But this Matt, I guess he bought too much raw food? We all kept eating and eating and the it wasn't the food that finished up, but our appetite was filled up to the maximum!

We had a nice night walk as well, exploring the hidden roads and passage of SS19. The place is a maze and labyrinth!! Without a GPS, you are as good as dead there...

The eating and cleaning ended about 2am, which was wayyyy later then we expect. After that we went to Zhanwei house for a drink, some of them overnight there, while I went to Marcus's house to overnight. We had a nice cold swim at his pool at 2.30am (Yea we did, it was cold to the bones..) and we woke up at 6.30am that morning, we had our Youth outing at 8am in church!

With 2.5 hours of sleep will not dampen our spirit to have fun in church, more on it the next post!!

Now what I am afraid off is managing time. With FYP kicking in, tutorials, friends asking to lepak, friends coming back from Aust and UK, and also close, direct relatives coming from Australia in FOUR days....Could I handle it?

Holiday to Genting.

So on the last week of my holidays, my coursemate Hwee Ming contacted me and ask whether I would like to go Genting with my other coursemates and I just say yes!

It was a 2 days 1 night trip form Thursday to Friday and 7 of us went there, it was a little last minute I suppose? But it was a good trip nonetheless!

On Thursday morning, 4 of us met at 1Utama to sit the bus to Genting with RM8.50 one way direct to First World Hotel. The other 3 went up at Gombak station and Pudurakyat.

3 of them and me sat the bus and we left at 11.30am! About 45 minutes later we reach the Skyway Station and in less then 15 minutes, we are at the top already enjoying the oh-so-cool weather compare to the crazy hot weather at Subang over here =.=

It was a Thursday thun there is no queue at the Skyway. However, actually we all reach 1U at 10am, we wanted to sit the 10.30am bus but the 10.30am and the 11am are fully booked by senior adults who go up there to...what else..GAMBLE LAH!

By 12.45am we reach the lobby and Boon Sue and her cousin Chyn Yi was there already, enjoying the outdoor themepark, looks like they came much much earlier!

The all park pass for ONLY RM25 with my sexy watch haha! How I got it RM25?? Read on..

Then once Hwee Ming came, we check in to the rooms, so 7 of us in 3 rooms. The two biggest size ones which are Yee Min and I got a room, the girls get another and the remaining guys in another room.

After settling down, change etc we decide to go and chill at the themepark! Then Boon Sue told us she had coupon for All Park tickets, buy 1 free 1!! That's how I got it for RM25!

Then once buying and all, we quickly ran to the outdoor park! Unfortunately some of the rides are under maintanence T.T such as the Spinner and Cockscrew!! ARGH! And it was raining slightly, so we can only sit certain rides! We have to utilize the All Park pass no matter what..

The shaded rides were open and the slight rain makes it very very misty and cold and I love it! Feels sooo refreshing and relaxing but it is not so good for my lens, it gets all foggy sometimes..hard for me to take pictures =( There is always consequences...

There were quite many tourist that time however, lesser local tourist, a large amount of them came from India, Thailand and China. As in..VERY large amount, maybe a plane-load of them?

The mist was sooo great, it reminds me of the haze last year where you just can see what is 1 metre in front of you, after that it is all blur and white..must stick close to one another or you'll get lost real fast!!

RM2.50 ice cream in Genting..It is already cold..If you can't beat em', join em'!!

Most of the rides inside First World remains the same, like the ever popular Bumper Car, Roller Coaster, Venice Gondola, Ferris Wheel etc Since the outdoor themepark is mostly close, so many many of the tourist play on the indoor rides, making the queue long! But the rides we sat the most often was the Bumper Car, sure it was nice whacking and banging around your friends!

We had lunch at KFC and then dinner at some noodle restaurant among the cheapest yet fullest food we can find there. Tastewise is respectable and it does serve its purpose to make us full =)

The outdoor park closes at 7pm, then after that we just sat the indoor rides again and again...and again. I dunno why I just won't get sick of sitting in the same ride HAHAHA!

The indoor park closes at midnight, so after we got tired of sitting the rides, we decided to enter the Casino and chill there..so called..

There were 2 underage people there which are Chyn Yi and I, but we easily just sneak in and sorry, no photos allowed inside the casino! Inside were freeflow of Milo, orange juice and coffee. We just sat down drink awhile and watch people win and MAINLY lose their money..

My friends lost like...RM10-RM20 that day? But I never gambled though, I just watch them play =) I have no money to lose!! It is quite interesting though looking at the Roulette, how the ball spin, the probability the ball will drop on which slot..maybe some day just try once for fun? We shall see..very unlikely though..gambling is just not me..

Then we went to the cinema to get some tickets, on that Thursday was the premiere of Terminator Salvation, so we bought 5 tickets for the guys. the 2 girls bunk in bed, too tired already from the fun! We bought the 1.30am ticket, the other time is full already. A good movie will still be a best seller no matter where you watch it..including Genting..

After the movie sure sleep lah..already near 4am, so at 8.30am everyone was up and eating buffet breakfast. It only costs RM38.88 to stay a night and that includes buffet breakfast for two! That is darn cheap, only cost rm20 per person!! and if that includes the ride, means it is RM37 to go to and fro and stay overnight in Genting!

After breakfast, we just chill around, enjoy the weather while we still can, then it was time to go home. Saying goodbyes, knowing we will see each other after 3 days back in uni (except Chyn Yi of course..she is not our coursemate, just Boon Sue's cousin..).

A great random trip, and certainly a relaxing one. But coming back then I got flu, must be the cold weather up there...

You may say you know yourself best, you really think so? Asking others about yourself is somewhat unlikely and knowing the truth may hurt, but truth HURTS. On the highest need of the Hierarchy of Needs is Self-Actualization, which is pure and full understanding of oneself. So how? What do you see in yourself?

I Just Realized..

And now to my third week of holidays, I realized that this is my last holidays..EVER! After this new semester which begins on June 1st, my degree course will end and after that, working environment beckons..

Last night it got me thinking, how was it when I was form 1 till now. How I use to hate education then, the homework, the sastera, the boring teachers in school and the late night tuition.. Those life were great compare to what I face in university.

Times I wish (and my friends too..) we could turn back time into secondary school days, back to 2001 at SMK USJ12, where class was from morning to early afternoon, then you are free to do anything you want. We were on bicycle, cycling anywhere you want, and most of your friends are usually free to go lepak on any evenings...

I don't know what got me thinking, but when I was online, many friends of mine were asking maths questions online, that made me recall back my old sylubbus, and how I use to study and suffer that time. I lie on my bed thinking and reminiscing for nearly an hour! How I spend my December holidays when I was Standard 1 to Form 5....

Once end of the degree, when the working life begins, your only holiday is during the weekends, public holidays or when you apply leaves... No more semester holidays! And I wonder if I could still hang out with my friends of same age or the younger ones. Nothing beats a sudden trip to a mamak stall or restaurant just to chill and talk over.

or stay up till 2-3am just talking to random friends online, or watching drama on TV! And also waking up late on weekdays during the holidays...All that literally gone once you graduate, no?

And in working environment, it is different to get a friend and a collegue. A fine difference between this two. In school, we make friends just for the fun of it, to socialize, have fun, discuss homework. In the ever rat race in the working world, collegue can be mistaken as a friend, but behind your back there is politics, backstabbing etc

We will start getting income, making your own money, proceed on with life, but I honestly more willing to trade this with secondary times, memory and good times more valuable then money, right?
Just another 5 days to the last day of my school holidays in my entire life, how to I feel about it? I feel numb, but I know I have to make use of it well, something new beckons after the end of this holidays..

Mother's Day with Dim Sum!

Mother's Day was a few weeks ago and on that special occasion, my family and I was at Melaka, our hometown. So we took the oppurtunity to celebrate with my maternal grandmother.

Upon reaching the restaurant called Dim Sum Garden, we were greeted with steaming pots of fresh made dim sum and by a long long queue of humans. We went there about 10 something which is a little late, that explains the long queue..

Upon seated about...20 minutes later, we quickly order our drinks and food. Some of the customers have to share tables with strangers just to eat there, reminds me of what we see in TV in Hong Kong hawker shops!

Fried Carrot Cake, Siu Mai all my favourite!! And also Wu Kok but I forgot to take a pic of it, I ate all of them too fast XD

Happy Grandmother's Day!! HAHA!

I actually ate heavy breakfast at my paternal grandparents place just an hour before going here, so I kinda ate a little only, most of the time taking pictures and drinking hot tea and talking about.

And the surprising part is, the food all came very very fast once we ordered it. Good food service, fast, tasty and efficient!

Happy sister's day as well? She is not a mother yet haha, not a special occasion for her.

I think I added hot water on this teapot about...4 times! and my dad himself went to the kitchen and refill the hot water, the waiters were way too busy at that time!
So my family which is 4 of us, grandma and uncle ate there, the total was about..RM60 I think..if I ate that time, I'm sure the amount will be way way more!!

Upon leaving the restaurant, there was a cybercafe with the name...

Once say our goodbyes, my family and I head back to home at Selangor, while uncle head back to Singapore and grandma go back to home sweet home!

Nothing beats the calm and peaceful kampung atmosphere in Melaka =)

Will be back there on July 17th for my cousin brother's wedding!!

And it is the 5th day of my holidays, and I kinda enjoying it? I spend too much money already, time to have some cheaper fun.

So plans for this holidays are, learning how to Photoshop. I'm a total Photoshop noob, I don't know a crap on how it works etc. If there is anyone reading this and know how to use it, please please tell me, please enlighten me on Photoshop!! For now I have Mr.Google to teach me about it, luckily there are plenty online tutorials offered =)

My cousin is a good poser, maybe a future model? Like asking her to pose, to improve my noobie skills sigh!

Then this Kevin Lau from IA asking me to play foosball with him, that fella freaking influence me to play more haha! But I cannot play foos at all so..haha..just play for fun.

Certainly many new things to learn this holidays but I cannot totally forget about my beloved Final Year Project =.= NO thanks to Ying Yi for reminding me about it..sigh..

And I take this oppurtinity to find and catch up with the remaining secondary friends of mine who are still in Malaysia, a big bunch of them is somewhere over the seas and to relive the secondary school time is certainly really great, and we also manage to remember a little bit of our primary skool time... The DARK ages of fashion and hair style sigh...

So my exam is totally over (for this semester at least..), and after my exam ended on 11am on Friday, guess what I did? I didn't go and celebrate etc, but instead I went to Taylor college. Steven ask me to help for the Taylors Got Talent event.

Cannot post on anything about it because the pictures are for sale, so no blogpost about it yet, but just some random photos I took that day.

Then the following morning which is saturday, I went to Melaka to attend my cousin's wedding. And I had to miss the GMSJ Family Outing to FRIM...again..Everytime there is an event or camp, the date SURE clash with something I have..I really have to find the LCEC and Uncle Teh when they decide on the dates for any of our church events!!! >.<
The wedding was held at a Methodist Church. My mum use to go there when she was young and my mum use to stay around there during her childhood days, and the place changed alot compare to 40 years ago!!

Speech to honour your parents. Definately made a lot of mothers cry. I mean..really!

It was a very colourful wedding as it was a mix of two races, and in their speech, is a great view of the concept of 1Malaysia haha! There were Sari, Jeepa, Cheongsam, Samfu everywhere!

It is like a wedding we see on TV, just there is no part where they throw flowers, or have a ball dance in the middle of the garden, it is too hot I suppose..

Then from there, we proceed to a Chinese restaurant for lunch, and the food there was GREAT!! I think the best wedding food ever in my whole life of attending wedding events.

It was quite punctual just starting about half an hour late, and a lot of my relatives were there as well!

And there were unlimited flow of beer, wine, liquor..ahh, the wonders of alcohol! but drank a cup or two only as it was a wedding LUNCH, not DINNER. I have to stay up the whole day.

After many food and drinks, many live performances and videos, alot of talking and laughing, most of the guests left the place and head back home while some of us went to the tea-serving ceremony.

It was a nice wedding and after that I head over to mum's side as this wedding lunch was my dad's side. After visiting my maternal grandma, we went for dinner, then me and Steffi talked and I taught her chemistry and addmaths till 2am and the next thing I noe, I'm back here in Subang and it is very very hot here! Melaka is sooo much more cooling sigh...

Da 70-300 Zoom!

The ultimate stalker lens at budget price!! literally..cannot get too choosy and fussy though bout the quality, autofocus speed etc...

Here it is, Nikkor 70-300 F4-5.6G for RM300 with UV Filter (Second hand though...how to afford first hand??). a HUGE thank you to my sis for sponsoring RM200 for the lens!!

Talking digits will not show anything right..this are a few sample shot..pardon the dust on the lens..forgot to wipe it off..

Images are quite soft at the end a use of F11 is recommended at the end to get sharp images.

But difference not that visible (in my noob eyes opinion..) unless you want a large print and your eyes looks for small mistakes in the picture.

This lens on broad daylight very very usable because F4-5.6 is reasonable under such lighting conditions but well into the night..even at ISO1600 I don't know whether thats enough!

And to have some bokeh/background blur effect, I tried some of this,

This stalker lens can well zoom and for the price is actually quite ok..the only thing that worries me I guess is the slow Autofocus. The focus ring is long, takes nearly a whole second to rotate from 1.5m to infinity, and slow by a few milisecond, the magic moment/Kodak moment down the drain T.T Yup, the minimum focus distance is 1.5m, that's respectable for a RM300 lens. The Earth Hour Walk was held at Dang Wangi station, so using LRT, my sis, her friends and I reach there and join in the effort to save Earth...kinda? I just go there to chill haha!

Good job there! The winning egg for the night was Rachel's egg (on the most right) with the Adam and Eve theme! Credits to the watermelon haha!

Really Random Genting Highlands Trip

Then 4 of us had present our Final Year Project to our respective lecturers, some of us got screwed (like me...), some was ok. Then after presentation which also was the last day of our semester, Sham said go Genting and Ying Yi said watch movie, so I said, we go Genting AND watch movie there, so we watched Mall Cop, laugh our ass out till we had headache at the high altitude area >.< Have hot coffee at Old Town. Surprisingly, the price is same as Subang!!

So last month Michelle and I went over to find my ~~rascal and naughty~~ pet-sis Shu Ying and her mum,Pn.Alicia which is my form 5 class teacher who return to Subang Jaya for the March holidays. They had shifted to Kuantan as Pn.Alicia's other half got a new job at the East Coast area.

It was nice meeting them after a long while, a nice long chat before Michelle needs to go home for her assignment!!

They went to China for holidays few months before we met, and they got me a souvinier which is...

Terracota warrior!

Its made of clay and it feels very real indeed, some kind of dead stoned warrior guarding my house? NEHHH!!

However, Shu Ying did something to add to the...authenticity of the Terracota warrior. I don't know whether she did it on purpose or it was made this way...the warrrior became this..

Headless!

Usually old artifacts will be found to be broken, dismantled, not in perfect condition? I guess the same applies here, just that this is not few thousand years old, maybe a few thousand minutes old?

Just came home after my last day of my most hectic semester ever, after class we went to Genting to watch Mall Cop and to have a drink at Kopitiam and went to murni SS2 after that and came home, out from 6.20am -> 12pm!! and the previous night with 4 hours sleep? tonight I'll sleep real good!

Disney on Ice is an annual event in Malaysia with different theme every year, and this year it was Princess Wishes, featuring the 7 princesses of Disney which are Ariel, Snow White, Jasmine, Cinderella, Belle, Aurora and Mulan =)

And Rachel took me there with many switches of KTM and LRT to Stadium Putra. She paid fully for the tickets, and I'm really thankful for that and it was really a great surprise!

After breakfast, we went to Subang KTM station and head to Sentral, actually at that moment I didn't know we were going to DOI, thought just lepak trip around KL!

So were changing train 3 times and I was still wondering as she bought the train tickets as well, the destination I don't know!! and then I saw the train route we were going, and Stadium Putra was one of them and AH-HA, we are going DOI!

Upon reaching the stadium happily, we saw a large crown in front of us, mostly families with kids. After eating icecream, we enter the stadium with the tickets, buy some popcorn and get to our seats!

Before the show starts.

It first started with Aladdin and Jasmine and of course Mickey and Minnie did the intro with the help of Tinkerbell!

Then it was Snow White and the SEVEN Dwarves.

Hey hoo hey hoo!!!

It was very nice song and presentation and they skate sooo fast, soo smooth, soo good! it was really really excellent, worth the payment XDXD

Songs are from the movies and are very familiar to those who watch Disney Channel often (like me XD) haha!! the kids around us were excited, and some can be seen dancing/jumping around their seats.

Little mermaid, this were the sailors. Their stunt was incredible!! I can't describe it!

And a group of lucky selected kids from the VVIP corner have the change to sit in a boat, and go around the ice ring with Mickey, Minnie and Goofy and others!

Notice Sebastian, Ariel and...what the yellow blue fish again.... lucky kids in the boat!

Did I mention Goofy? He crashed into the party as well, but he was definately funny with his famous "Yikes!", "Gosh!".

They were fire on ice, what a magic! everyone was in awe and clap hands!!
After 3 ( or is it 4 princesses....) there was a 20 minit break, that time we whack the popcorn and take a good look around...

WOAH!!!

The more expensive the tickets, the more crowded is the section! Who said there is some economic crisis in Malaysia..everyone here seems to be doing well enough...
After the 7 princesses present, then there was the final ball dance.

Just like a formal ball.

As they dance gracefully, then suddenly Tinkerbell appeared in a golden ball pull by an electronic car!

All of the happy couples dance around it, and some fance nice fireworks which my sis fail to capture =( and it was the end of the presentation. 2 hours have come and gone soooo fast! I guess it was real good, and time pass when you are having a great time watching a good show!

After that we head home with the train hopping routine and make it in time for Youth that evening. Thanx for the great surprise Rachel, owe you one haha!
As a friend, I'll provide help anytime k (terms and conditions apply HAHA), and need transport can ask HAHA! Work well, study well and lead MIYF well! Will pray for you =)

and my finals starting next week ohh damn, back to books, stress, snacks and pimples haha! wish my coursemates and I all the best!!

Wedding at Marriot Putrajaya

Last month I attended my distant cousin's wedding and it was held at Marriot Hotel Putrajaya. It has been ages since I last been to Putrajaya area and it was certainly a new experience going there!

And the first time entering this 5-star hotel, I was greeted with a very nice lobby!

This was actually the first time my family members and relatives from my mum's side gather together since Chinese New Year.

There were many staircase everywhere and certainly wasn't easy to find the ballroom where the wedding was held..there were sooo many ballroom's in the whole place!

There were free flow of ribena, red wine and liquor from the start to the end of the wedding! Drank only one cup though, I was busy studying for my midterm.. Yes, I brought my studies to a wedding lunch, quite pifitul =.=

It actually my first time attending a wedding lunch, it is always on a usual saturday/sunday evening at some chinese restoran.

Talking bout the food, every table has a personal waiter, so it was a pleasant dining experience!! but the food just average lah..the steam fish was my favourite! haha!

A fast update, had been sick for 5 days, slightest of aircon makes me freeze so bad i cant feel my fingers =S and my answer for the assignment is wrong, and I just cant find the solution. and certain subjects my marks are just plain stupid. and interim report and presentation to pass up the next week. Could life get any more worse then this? my toughest challenge yet *cough cough* gotta hold on.

UTAR Ball Night.

So, well few weeks ago, it was the annual UTAR Ball and in my 4 years of studying in UTAR, I have never been to a single of their Ball Night yet and since this year is my final year there, me and coursemates decide to give it a go =) This year it was held at Sunway Resort Hotel.

After paying RM100 and finding a date which is Ying Yi my long time coursemate (actually just 3 years haha but what the heck XD)

This ball was wayyy beyond my expectations, because everything UTAR does implies it will be low class, boring, lousy, cheapskate etc but this was..woah!! nice! the RM100 was all worth it!

let's just say, we came for the event, and stay for the dance, not the food! Speaking about dance, there is a dance floor ( like duh...this is UTAR Ball). Students from Kampar, Sungai Long, Setapak and Petaling Jaya came for this, ALL the way from their respective campus, that's call super semangat!

After the VIP come and go, and left the young, rowdy, hyper students, then it was time for the dance!

Initially it was slow ballad dancing songs, and then suddenly it was Hip Hop and everyone start dancing crazily XD And Ying Yi introduce me to her friends, nice to meet you all, and I got scolded cause I forgot their names the day after but they still remembered mine XD

After that, we head on to Euphoria MOS for round 2 of partying ohh yeah!! we went there early, so we manage to enter inside and dance our ass away.

Dance and chill the midnight, then we went to the hotel lobby, had a long chat.

Then we went to a mamak, and resume talking till 1am something. Then we head home, sleep and get ready for the big test on that same very day. Kinda spoil the vibes? but it was worth the time =)

I have listen to some talks talking bout crossroads. This got me thinking, life is all about making decisions on crossroads. More then one choice or anything, you are up for it, and probably only God knows where and how the path will lead you. Choosing either and the results, if it turns out good, so be it but if otherwise, then regret pouring in?

No.

Life is a journey, getting experience. It is the only lesson that never ends, new challanges everyday. Learning from mistakes, failures do give you the advantage in the future, hoping mistakes wont repeat after itself.

A single wrong assumption turn everything around.

Presuming general human emotions as a constant, we may imply that the wrongs that have been right can be utilize? Nope. Just as chaotic behavioral, a single slight difference in initial conditions makes all the difference. Different set of equations, iterations, methods to apply on different cases, not all the same.

And I thought I knew everything.

But regret is never on my list, once the choice is made, YOU make full responsibility of it and no matter what turns out in the end, we should learn something of it, keep it in your mind and heart.

Unfortunately we are not perfect beings, no equation is made without trial and error. We make mistakes. In the process, side-effects or unwanted distortion on physical, mental side of things. Unintentional or not, the effect is made. What next?

Wish you could turn back time? Undo somethings you wish you never said or done? At some occasions I guess we all felt the same, with questions of "if only etc etc...."

But at the end of the day, why change the past? why change history?

What we did last time shape what we are inside today, it shows and tells everyone who we are. It's our story and the portfolio of our past. In conclusion, live on with it and smile. You'll be alright at the end of the day. With God's help, yeah everyone will feel fine.

Don't cry over spilled milk? or the SUMO word - Shut Up, Move On XD

Be positive, optimistic, look at bright side. That's a good life motto!

So it was a once a year event I cannot missed and I have to plan well! hahah!!
Fortunately everyone was free ( actually..only 2 of us XD) is free on that thursday evening, then I took her for a ride to a random place. All the plans was undisclosed for the evening!

(Sorry, not many pictures, my camera is bad and I was busy talking eating away! hehe)

First, we had her birthday dinner a none other than TGIF Pyramid!

The drinks for the evening! November Sea Breeze and Ice Lemon Tea.

She ordered the Appetizer and Entree Combo as she was very very hungry that night, I just order Jack Daniels burger. I thought it was too little and I standby to other dessert.

Or so I thought...

The portion was so HUGE, we could hardly finish it! hahah!

The appetizer, morazella cheese macaroni inside some cube. tasty cheezyness!

It's being awhile since we had a long chat, we were sooo busy with test/quizes/assignment/work =S so it was really a good dinner date out!

Her Tuscan Chicken Sandwich, didn't manage to have a taste of it, she ate all up before I can even taste a bite of it! haha!

Wrecked Wrist

Before you think that I committed suicide, I did not XD I am having a great life, so I won't!!

It all started at a futsal game. Even wearing goalkeeper gloves, the hard kicking coursemates of mine gave my hands a handful!! ( no pun intended..) blast after blast of shots I save and then..

Its all wrapped up nice and warm..

upon reaching home I felt a small pain on my wrist, the following morning it hurts so bad, I can hardly write! Even drove home my manual car with one hand!

Pharmacist say don't carry heavy stuff and apply ointment and minimize it's movement.
Hope it'll get better

As usual on Sunday morning I'll go to church.

So after morning service, I went to Pyramid for a while to do some stuff, then I went back to church and park my car there. After lunch and some L4D, I went out and saw a SAMAN on my car!!

And I thought to myself, WHY is there summon on a beautiful sunday like this??

I was scared ( I don't want to part with RM100 T.T) I ran to the car madly, and I saw this..

Whats on the 14th?

NO updates lately because my internet keeps disconnecting every few minutes, hope this blog post will go just fine XD

Anyway, on the 14th, we are suppose to have class in uni in the morning, to replace CNY week BUT the lecturer cancel!! whee!! got for those who had plans that morning with their other special half. I had plans with my pillow and blanket...if you get what I mean..and also with a 'letter' =)

14th..hmm...notice the missing key on the background!! Ain't my keyboard, this is my uni's keyboard!!

Then at 2.30pm I had my regular add maths tuition which lasted till 2 hours later. Then it was a special simple yet amazing Valentine's teatime at Secret Recipe!

Valentines's Fish & Chip!

Nope, I didnt eat Fish & Chip during Valentines Day, although I actually don't mind doing so XD

and I know it is weird to post bout my gift for Valentines before I even say what I did on the day itself! that will be on the next post!

It is definately a surprise, I never thought I'll get a fish tank with fishes as a gift!!

and you all (including myself) are wondering...why fish? of all pets or gifts in the world? First of all, I showed her how to make Ang Pau fish for CNY, so there is a relation! another reason is..well..secret XD

There are actually THREE fishes, not two. There is two goldfish and one sucker fish. Notice the eyes in the middle of this pic? that is the third hidden super shy fish.

And guess what we named the fishes??

FISH and CHIP!!

Sounds logical right? Although I wont eat the fish of course =.= But I cant differentiate them yet =S So we got the names, but we haven't give them the name officially!! I'm the Fish, she's the Chip. I guess I'm the fishy one and she's the...chirpy one??

And we name the Sucker fish Tartar because it goes well with Fish & Chips, someone suggested Salad as well, but tartar tastes better right?

Korean Appetite!

Last week, my sis and I had a sudden craving for Kimchi Fried Rice! but the only place she knows that serve that dish is at KL Sentral but then suddenly she remembered about a new restaurant called Da Sa Rang at SS15. It is located just in front of Inti College and on top of the McDonalds. Yup, it is on the first floor.

Upon parking the car and walking up the staircase, we are greeted by Anyong-haseyo which means hello. Then we walk on and we are required to remove our shoes! we are to eat on the floor.

There is certainly a Korean feel to the restaurant and thers is many many Korean decor around the whole place!! so upon seated on the ground, we took our order and there is a BBQ pit on the table.

The free 10 side dishes to compliment your meal.

Their food are a lil to the spicy side, you can notice how RED is the food they serve there..

Kimchi Fried Rice (RM15.90)..it is red in color. It is cooked in nasi pattaya style though..

Kimchi pork soup(RM12.90). I forgot to mention, it is a tak-halal restaurant..

Kimchi Pork with rice(RM17.90). This is GOOD!!!

My sis and I thought the servings will be small thats why we order 3 main dishes but we were sooo wrong. The servings are HUGE!! so huge I actually had to tapau the soup back home =) and later there is free dessert which are watermelon and some cold sweet tea. woah, so many free things serve here =)

And the service here is very fast and efficient. I seriously didn't mind paying the 10% service charge here! haha! and it is definately different eating experience with flat metal chopsticks..

All in all the bill was RM55.75 for all the many dishes above. Not bad yah? Definately will go there again, already made a promise with someone =)

Farewells...

A farewell party(?) of all sorts, some heading overseas, some heading outstation for sometime and a steamboat gathering signify all that.

And over there were some of my juniors from USJ12 I haven't met in a long long time, really nice coincidence to meet them there.

Things do happen for a reason, and there is no coincidence.

And of course I ask for my fave quill eggs from Wilson and happily his mum prepare AMPLE of those eggs for me!!

The other day my sis brought back something she bought which we play often when we were young. Remember those days we play the pop-pop, ice and water, those styrofoam airplans and such? yeah, it brought back memories.

Remember this? You just put some sticky liquid on the end of a plastic straw and blow your lungs away, the bigger the better! Just do not...burst it...

BURST!! KABOOM!!

That's the biggest I did and it exploded soon after XD.

And as soon as time passes, it is Week 5 in my uni and all the tests, assignments start creeping in..sigh..I'm afraid my time is too short to do my own things?

And speaking about time, tomorrow is already Chap Goh Mei??!!!

Dang, another year till the next CNY. And for your information, CNY next year is on February 14!!

As time passes quickly, the same goes to Christmas which also a long long way to go..

New addition to tech family of my house!

Introducing the latest new addition to my house tech junkie collection!

Acer Aspire One pink.

It's so freaking light and portable, it is sooo small compare to my current laptop which nearly weighs THREE times more.

It is just a basic computer with respectable RAM and processor speed, I doubt it can handle large hardcore programs/games. Shall I install Photoshop inside =S?

It's 8.9" screen is seriously sharp. Even under bright lights, the contents are very readable!

Super Screen!!!

If I were to buy it, I'll choose pink also since it is the nicest color available! and pink is the new black!!

But I'll have to get use to the new keyboard layout. The keys are soo small, I had to cramp my palms together to type properly on it. Not for those with mammoth hands =.=

I get a free pink 4GB Kingston along, and I doubt pink was the accidental color, they purposely pair it up with the laptop!!

Now I'll have to eat my dinner, happy CNY everyone!!

Every state or district has their own way to celebrate CNY, so after a long day of visitation on the first day of CNY, my uncle took me and my cousin Steffi for a night out at Jongker Walk!

Welcum to JONGKER WALK!

That area is mostly chinese, so the celebration is abit high tempo, it's SOO big the celebration, this place even appear in The Star newspaper on the CNY Eve celebrations!!

There were soooo many cars, it took us 30 minits to find a parking spot. Tonnes of people of all races, gender, religion, nationality came together to add to the CNY atmosphere here!

They sell all sorts of things at Jongker Walk, anything you can think of, I'm very very sure they sell there, from:-

EXPRESSIVE tshirts

to

Non-alcoholic fruit juice in alcoholic-like bottle

Panda toothpaste holder.

Most of the foreigners hang out at the cafes which obviously cater for them from the appearance of the cafe. There is even a live band in them and there are TWO couple dancing according to the song! SWEET!

Even after a couple of hours there, the traffic volume is not decreasing a single bit! There were sooo many people on the sidewalks, sometimes I have to walk on the main road against the cars...scary..

See the sidewalks? Cars have to stop for the humans which includes me =)

After eating some mochi by the river (and unfortunately there wasn't any fireworks..sigh....), we walked back to our cars with a couple of souvinier and pictures. Surely is good exploring places at night!

AND yet again, is the money time of the year, and when you think of CNY, you'll think of??:-

1) ANG PAU!!

MOOLAH!CASH!KA-CHING! $$$

As the saying goes, The More the Merrier XD
we the young unmarried ones always asking and craving for more red packets from the elders and married couples!!

2) Lo Kam!

Eat round oranges till you are sooo sick of it, don't know how many orange seed I have thrown and spit out since CNY Day One!!

3) Yee Sang!

No matter what type of Yee Sang flavor, it still always taste good after you loh and mix all the ingredients..

4) Gambling!

Play till you drop..but this year I've been losing money =(

5) Time of meeting with friends and family!

Immediate family members.

Some of secondary school friends.

Serving tea to parents.

Meeting up with friends you never see for many years while bai nian, and getting their cash(or GIVING them you cash) while gambling, it's a joy =)

Just before CNY, my family decided to have dinner in Taipan, and this new restaurant manage to catch our attention (to my mum's eyes definately, I didn't see the restaurant at all =.=).
Then we decided to enter and give it a try, since it has been open less then a week!

Fish Gusto Taipan

As the name suggested, the main food here is FISH, practically seafood. Appetizer is like fish chowder, cold oyster on ice etc but they do serve poultry as well =) so no fear for chicken-lovers out there!!

The price and service there is excellent! The waitress greet us, recommend as some of their speciality, but I end up with the typical classic fish and chips (RM13.90)!

and mushroom soup(RM4.90) with garlic bread(RM2.90) as appetizer, I have a big appetite you know..

my mum tried the deep fired dory fish(RM19.90)

and my dad tried the fried chicken chop(RM15.90)

and it ALL taste good, but after eating nearly the whole portion of the fish, I feel a little 'jelak' at the finishing, I think it is just me that day XD

A squeeze of lime and tartar sauce!!

Overall taste and presentation is good, and definately a good place for a 'seafood date'!hehe!
You'll get what I mean, yes I mean YOU!

For the price, it is quite excellent but my favourite is still and always Fish & Co. at 1 Utama.

And to celebrate the Deepavali holidays, my family and I decided to go back to our hometown, Melaka. It's been awhile since I go back there, and the supply of food there is definately UNLIMITED!

I guess Neo and friends open up a clinic after the Matrix trilogy...

Toll ticket on the way back, on 11.21am on 27 October.

Traffic is wayy lesser then expected, considering it is a public holiday.
Upon reaching, my aunty brought us to a great place to eat Satay, non-hala of course, with 60 cents a stick on satay.

With pork intestine, pork liver on the satay, is like no other satay place!

Then at night, we went to the Pirate Place, where it is a funfare and it is open for quite awhile already.

Ferris Wheel and Pirate Ship, the two main rides of the funfare.

There are other more hardcore rides but as we just had dinner, I don't plan to discharge the food with my mouth =)

Then the following morning, my uncle from my mother's side who is in Melaka as well (I have been staying with my paternal grandparents place), brought us to buffet breakfast in Renaissance Melaka Hotel.

I gain more then 2KG in the 3 days stay here, eat on average 6 times a day, and not guilty about it, the food is too tempting, truly looking forward to go back kampung soon!!

Japanese Wedding!

**It's been a month since I updated, sorry as no ideas and no pics yet!**

So recently I attended my cousin's wedding in Melaka, my eldest cousin to get married and the first marriage among my cousin's, well done!!

Second Uncle, First Aunty, Bride's Mum and Dad, Grandma.

She is married to a Japanese dude named Shinichi Amari.

He is the editor of a local japanese english-languaged newspaper and they met on the job site apparently..not bad!

The wedding has a Japanese theme and it is held at Imperial Melaka.

It is the only time beside's CNY where we can see all the relatives from my mother's side.

And the timing is good as my First Aunty just came from Canada.

I am sitted on the front row just beside the main table and the food is great! before I can even take the pics, we have eaten all up =)

The wedding ended well late at 11pm something, and my dad and I had to rush back to Subang Jaya as my dad has stuff and i got work the following day. Definately a great wedding, may they leabe happily ever after. you both play nice XD

No Electric

Electric out on a hot tuesday night for 4 long hours from 12.29am.

And that's a candle with my pencil case you are looking at...the only way for me to continue writing my assignment is with candles!! Beside having a blood donation night to the mosquito, it was warm and humid. Can't sleep from the itch of the mosquito bites. Should go to McD 24 Hours restaurant.

Bon Odori.

Fresh from the Genting trip and one hour of sleep, at reach home, unpacked my things, nap for an hour and then rushed out to meet my friends to go to Bon Odori.
About 4pm I reached Kimberly's house, and at 5.30 we drove to Matsushita Stadium where the event is held.

After getting nice parking spots, we walk to the entrance and get the free fan which is customary every year!
Still not THAT many people yet..

And 90% of the people are queuing up at the food and drinks stall, which makes it hard for hungry people like me to grab a bite. One of my objective going there is to get the wonderful Japanese Ice Cream! big and yummy~

And the highlight of the event is the dance along session to the traditional music led by beautiful girls in yukata!

Can hear shouts from the guys to the girls clad in yukata "I love youuuuuuuuuuuuu!" and etc etc. Tak tau malu betul lah...but I wanted to do that as well honestly...hehehe!
And this year there were more visitors then before, and is definately worth to go through the big sweaty crowd and have fun, looking forward for next year!

Cheng Swee Temple.

On the way down from Genting, my car decided to lepak at Cheng Swee Temple. They wanted to pray there, take a look around and buy some herbal eggs. It's just a short drive from the apartment we stayed and more then 20 times I went to Genting, I never actually went there before!

It's definately bigger than I expected that place is. The entrance is narrow but inside it is..HUGE!!! and there were a lot of visitors there as well. and the herbal egg definately tasted good! I had two for myself~! Thanks Ah Juan for belanja-ing me the eggs.

After a short while we head home. It is certainly cooling and relaxing there as well as there is a nice view from the top of the temple. A waste as I didn't walk up the Pagoda as there is no time. After the trip there I headed to Bon Odori! Story on it in the next post~
